This week saw the release of the Best of British SF 2023, which includes ‘Muse Automatique’, my angsty high-concept not-really-a-romp inspired by the life of Galina Dali.
The lovely Donna Scott of Newcon Press expertly hosted a virtual launch party, featuring several of contributors from the book’s truly impressive list. For reasons explained during the event, I did not contribute as much as I might have to this, though on the plus side, the event did feature appearances by not one, but two, imperious tortoiseshell cats, including my own feline overlord.
