… to bring news of a multi-author signing next Thursday (23rd) at Forbidden Planet’s London Megastore. This is the launch of the latest book by the lovely Elspeth Cooper, but she’s kindly allowing a whole bunch of other reprobates, including yours truly, to tag along. Do drop in.
Meanwhile, here‘s a rather nice review for Principles of Angels from Warpcore SF.
The real world decadence is going very well. Our stint at the luxury Crinan Hotel combined natural beauty with exceptional cuisine (note to self: next time bring an extra stunt stomach) although internet access was limited to a brief period when the tide turned and the wind was blowing so’westerly (and then only if you sat in the right spot in the bar). Best access we found in Scotland was at Dunadd, ancient capital of the Kings of Dalriada, but I was too busy admiring the view and letting my imagination run riot to consider the 21st Century. I was particularly pleased to find that my size six walking boot fitted exactly into the rock-carved footprint apparently used to consecrate those ancient kings.
We’re now in the Lake District where, amazingly, it isn’t raining.
It will. Remember the motto: if you can see the hills, it’s going to rain. If you can’t see the hills, it’s raining.
And, if it didn’t rain, it would be the Hole in the Ground District, not the Lake District.
See you Sunday.

You’ll be unsurprised to hear that it is now raining here.
