Although working on Queen of Nowhere has meant I’ve been neglecting my short fiction recently, I’m delighted to have two of my previously published stories ‘reprinted’ this week.
‘The Prettiest Star’ appears in a new and packed anthology from Adventure Books of Seattle, consisting of forty-eight stories originally published in ‘Escape Velocity’ magazine. My small contribution is actual hard SF (gosh). You can get the kindle edition here; I’ll try and post another link when it’s available in dead-tree format.
Secondly, ‘Paying for Rain’, which isn’t technically SF at all, features in this month’s edition of ‘Dark Fiction’ e-zine, along with stories by Liz Williams, Graham Joyce and Mark Chadbourn. Exalted company indeed. All the stories are freely available as podcasts from the Dark Fiction website, although donations are of course welcome.
