Damn, I’m busy, so this’ll be short.
This Friday, I’m off to the Milford SF Writer’s workshop, for a week of critiquing, being critiqued, scenery and no net access.
Today I’ve met the two writing deadlines I had to hit before Milford, the first being getting out my piece for the next meeting of the Tripod crit group in early October, the second being returning the rewritten Consorts of Heaven to my editor with her requested changes in. That just leaves the non-writing deadlines, the packing, and tomorrow’s publisher’s party up in London at which I will, yet again, be one of only three sober people.
I did have a nice surprise today, in the form a preliminary peek at the cover art for Consorts, which I like a lot, despite the presence of an errant palm tree and an incorrectly shaped geological feature. Apparently this can all be changed. Great thing, computer art. Also, in the same way that the cover of Principles was very orange, this one is very green. I’ll be asking M the Uber-geek to put a copy up here when it’s finalised.
