Last Sunday I signed my first copy of Principles of Angels (a proof copy, or, as they’re now known, a "typo-rich collectors’ edtion"). It was for one of the people who helped me get it written, so I didn’t have to try and be all cool and casual about it. (I aspire to be as cool as William Gibson – in so many ways, but specifically in his response when, as a hopeless fangirl at a Worldcon long ago, I presented him with an inflatable pink pterodactyl and asked him to sign it. ‘Wow,’ he drawled, ‘I haven’t signed one of these yet today.’ So I asked whether he signed a lot of inflatable pink pterodactyls. ‘Yeah,’ he said, straight-faced, ‘sometimes that’s all they bring.’)
I’ve also done my first interview for a magazine, the online ‘zine Falcata Times. The interview is a PDF (complete with pictures, one of which may be rather familiar if you read this blog), and hence is way beyond my ability to wrangle using my somewhat idiosyncratic blog editor. M the Uber-Geek promises to do his techie magic to make it appear here one day soon.
